Part 3: Empowered to Empower

When I joined a well-established and respected title company in 2012, it marked the beginning of a defining chapter in my career. I started as a floating closing agent, and within a year, I was promoted to regional manager. It was an exciting opportunity—but also one of the hardest transitions I’ve faced. For the first six months, I came home nearly every night in tears. I had stepped into a leadership role that some questioned, and I could feel the weight of their unspoken “Why her?”. It was an uphill climb to earn trust, implement the vision of the leader who had chosen me, and bring a team together around a shared purpose. I was blessed with the opportunity to ask my peers, supervisors, and direct reports to provide feedback on a 360-Degree assessment. Although reviewing the results was hard, it was humbling and provided me with the perspective I needed to grow as a leader. The pressure to prove myself was immense, and the fear of failure was real. But in my hardest moments, my husband—my biggest champion—looked at me and said, “I know you can do this.” His belief in me gave me the strength to keep showing up.

Eventually, I was promoted again—this time to Director and a member of the executive team. It was a role that pushed me to grow, not just professionally, but personally. I saw pieces of my own journey in the people who reported to me. I had walked in their shoes—I understood their roles, their challenges, and their aspirations. That connection helped me lead with empathy and clarity.  With my direct reports, I focused on leading with vulnerability, transparency, and a commitment to growing the people they led. Because to me, leadership isn’t about power—it’s about influence, empathy, and helping others rise.

That chapter was transformational. It stretched me and refined me—not only professionally, but personally. Most importantly, I finally stood up in my shoes as the leader I could be proud to be, even if not everyone liked me. I stopped trying to be what others expected and started showing up as the woman I was always meant to be.

Fast forward to today, and I’m honored to serve as the Vice President of Operations and a partner at Allegiance Title Company of Arkansas, working alongside an incredible team of professionals—many of whom are women. The title insurance and real estate industries have long seen strong female representation, and I’ve had the opportunity to work in nearly every role—from order entry and processing to closing, sales, commitments, and policies.

And the culture we’re proud to create is one where we Equip and empower each other to close deals on time for the customer. We believe that true empowerment comes from equipping each other with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to thrive.

This event is more than just a gathering; it’s a movement. It’s about recognizing the contributions of women in our industry, sharing our stories, and creating opportunities for the next generation of female leaders. It’s about lifting each other up, celebrating our successes, and having honest conversations.

I’m also thrilled to welcome our keynote speaker, Abby Foster with Ahnimisha Consulting. Abby was my executive coach, and I have deep respect and admiration for her. She played a pivotal role in my growth as a leader, and I know she will bring powerful insight and inspiration to our event. Her personal story of Imposter Syndrome—something many of us can relate to—adds authenticity and heart to her message, and I can’t wait for others to learn from her wisdom.

For me, this journey is deeply personal. I’ve had the privilege of working alongside strong, exceptional men and women—people of integrity who challenged me, supported me, and often saw something in me before I could see it in myself. Their belief helped shape my career, and now, I feel a responsibility and a calling to pay that forward.

As the proud mother of two fiercely independent daughters. I want them to experience a world where women are not treated differently but instead are measured by their abilities, integrity, and contributions. My passion is to empower my team to know that anyone can lead without a title, and that true leadership starts with self-belief and purpose. My personal mission is simple: Learn today to improve tomorrow. And along the way, I’ve learned from some of the most impactful men and women in my life—including my two daughters.

In addition to my professional journey, service has always been part of my mission. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of volunteering with organizations like Habitat for Humanity,  Special Olympics, Upward Athletics Cheer Coach and even served as a board member for our subdivision POA. These roles have helped me stay connected to my community, and they’ve reinforced one of my core beliefs: leadership isn’t about a title—it’s about showing up, giving back, and lifting others wherever you are.

Some of my favorite books that have inspired me on this journey are Girl, Stop Apologizing by Rachel Hollis and How Women Rise by Sally Helgesen and Marshall Goldsmith. These books have helped shape my perspective on leadership, confidence, and growth, and I highly recommend them to any woman looking to elevate herself both personally and professionally.

So, to every woman reading this: know that you belong here. Your voice matters. Your work matters. And together, we can continue to build an industry where women are not just present, but powerful.
